Volunteering at the Kumbh Mela is more than just a duty. It is an act of spiritual service and compassion. As a volunteer, you become a vital part of ensuring that every visitor has a memorable, safe, and spiritually enriching experience. Together, we ensure their safety, comfort, and spiritual experience is seamless.

Volunteers are the backbone of the spiritual events, bridging the gap between the administration and the devotees.

Roles & Responsibilities

Crowd Management

Direct visitors, prevent overcrowding at ghats and temples, and ensure orderly queues during peak times.

Information Guides

Assist visitors with directions, schedules, and arrange handicap assistance to ensure comfortable navigation.

Medical Assistance

First responder support and coordinating with ambulances to ensure medical emergencies are handled efficiently.

Sanitation Cleaners

Ensuring the holy grounds remain clean and public facilities are hygienic throughout the event.

Common FAQs

Is accommodation provided?

Yes. Basic dormitory-style accommodation and meals (Sarak Bhangi) are provided to all volunteers in designated areas. Hot meals, water, and rest facilities are available throughout your shift.

What is the minimum age?

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Special youth batches (17+) are available with parental consent.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes. All volunteers that assigned leisure will receive an official certificate of service recognizing your contribution to the Mela.

What about safety and health?

Comprehensive safety training is provided before your shift. Medical teams, first aid stations, and 24/7 support are available. All volunteers receive health insurance coverage during their service.

Can I volunteer for multiple days?

Absolutely! You can volunteer for as many days as your schedule allows. Shifts can be customized from 4 hours to full-day commitments.
